Claire won, whilst ?Alizée 15 at the time came second. There is some doubt about the exact dates of "Graines de Star" performances by Alizée due to schedule changes on the show. Some videos show Alizée performances as dated in 1999, however Homer feels the above dates are correct.

2000-09-08A news article and interview with Alizée is broadcasted on the program "Le Grand Soir" by Jean-Pierre Foucault. Alizée's conduct throughout is mysterious, a trait that has continued until the present. This is the first time since "Graines de Star" that she has appeared on TV.
2000-09-16She appeared on "Hit Machine" on channel M6. On this occasion she appears dressed much more simplistic than she did in "Le Grand Soir." In the evening of the same day at 18:15 hours she appears on studio 22 on RTL channel. In the interview Alizée gave, she stated that she is the one who chooses the subjects of her songs, and that the songs are about her life experiences. It is then Mylene Farmer who interprets these experiences and turns them into songs. It is for this reason that "Goumandises" is an autobiographical album. There is no video of this interview, nor is there much information about the interview on Alizée's webpage. However the television appearance section on her website confirms that this interview did take place.
2000-09-23Appeared on "Fan De" on channel M6 at 12:05 hours. This is the famous interview with Alizée on the boat. There is some confusion over the date of this video because there are several dates. There is the 23rd of September and there is February 2001 (or June of the same year). However there are several reasons why the correct date must be September 2000. Firstly her hairstyle is short in the video and matches the style she had in September. Secondly the logos of the programs are different. In the September transmission, the logo is an orange star in the bottom left of the screen with "Fan De" on it. In the 2001 version underneath "Fan De", the words "best of" appears and this is a definite sign that it is just a repeat of the original interview.

2000-11-17Alizée receives her first big award as the "révélation Française de l'annee" (French revelation of the year) at the M6 awards. A tearful and emotional Alizée gives a speech full of gratitude.
2000-11-20A mini news article about Alizée is shown on the programme "Célébritiés" on channel TF1 at 22:40 hours. This was commentated on Alizée's website.
2000-11-28Alizée debut album, "Gourmandises" is released. Coinciding with the release of the album is the release of her second single "L'Alizé".

2000-xx-xxAlizée auditions for "Graines de star". First in Corsica (in the césar palace) and then in Paris interpreting the song "Waiting For Tonight". Although for several reasons the precise date of this is not clear for example it appears in some videos that it is actually 19th December 1999. Whilst when Graines de Star was broadcasted, a fragment of the video appears with the label: Audition January 2000.
2001-01-01Appearance on "Megamix club" on channel RTL. It could be this date or the 23rd of May 2001 which are repeats from 27th of December.
2001-01-13Alizée sings "L'Alizé" in the programme "Special Vidéo Gag" on the TF1 channel at 20:50 hours. She also sings "L'Alizé" on "Dansez Maintenant" on France2 at 20:50 hours. In some parts, the performance on "Dansez Maintenant" appears to be from 13th February. But news on Alizée World disprove this and furthermore two days later pictures of the performance are published.
2001-01-20More music awards. This time it is in the NRJ music awards from the Cannes Ceremony, the awards are relayed directly onto TF1. Alizée wins two awards, one similar to the French revelation award she won at the M6 awards on the 17th November 2000 and the second award is for best web site. Alizée at the show, also sings "L'Alizé".
2001-01-27Broadcasted news report "Plus vite que la musique" on M6.
2001-01-29Alizée appears in the concert of Restos du Coeur, "Les Enfoirés" in the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon. The show will not be broadcasted until 9th March 2001 and chiefly on TF1.
2001-02-06Now there is promotional work in Moscow and a small news article is released. The date of this is not clear and it could be 23rd of March. There is also a small article on "Fan De" but as said before this is same article that was broadcasted on 23rd September 2000.
2001-02-12Alizée's album "Gourmandises" reaches number one in the Album chart, three months after its release and reaches Platinum status this week having sold more than 300,000 copies. "L'Alizé" which was released in the same week surpasses this and sells 500,000 copies. Her debut single "Moi...Lolita" however has sold 1.2 million copies in France alone.
2001-02-17The Vitoria de la Música credit "Gourmandises" with being the revelation of the year. However she did not win the award. Instead the award was won by Henri Salvador.
2001-03-03She is interviewed on FunTV. The interview speaks of her journey from "Grains de Star" to "Les Enfoirés". It is broadcasted in its entirety on 3rd March at 16:00 hours, and Sunday 4th March at 14:30 hours, and again on the 7th march at 18:00 hours. The correct date for this interview is 3rd March 2001 and not 2nd May as it appears in several videos. In all websites the three showings are the 3rd, 4th and 7th of March and there is no suggestion of it being 2nd of May. Homer has no idea from where the error has arisen.
2001-03-09The "Les Enfoirés" concert is broadcasted (recorded 29th January) on TF1 at 20:50 hours. Alizée sings an adaptation of the song by Laurent Voulzy "Rockollection". It was intended to be broadcasted on the 3rd of March, but it got postponed until the 9th of March.
2001-03-20"Moi...Lolita" goes on sale in Netherlands and enters at 6th position in the charts.
2001-03-31Alizée sings "Parler tout bas" on the programme "Tapis Rouge" hosted by Michel Drucker.

2001-09-03Interview on the programme "exclusif" on channel TF1. In some videos the date is the 12th September, but it is in fact the 3rd of September. On the 4th of September 2001 the website "Un Brin d'Alizée" released photos of it stating it was yesterday. In the first Jornalizée newsletter the 3rd of September is spoken, however the 2nd Jornalizée newsletter spoke of Monday the 8th, however this is a major error as the Monday was the 3rd and not the 8th. In addition the 2nd newsletter was dated the 8th-14th of September 2001 and it would be impossible that it was broadcasted on the 8th.
2001-09-08This day a performance on "40 ans de tubes" is recorded and will be broadcasted on the 26th October 2001.

2001-09-20Performance on "The Dome" (Germany) singing "Moi...Lolita". Some websites call it "the Dome 20" because it was the 20th anniversary of the festival, likewise when Alizée appeared on it in 2002 it was called "the Dome 21".

2001-10-16Performance on the Polish show "Kawa czy Herbata" (café or tea). This is the only televised performance in Poland, and until recently it seemed like no one had a copy of the video. The date seems to be the 16th but there are doubts as to whether it is the 18th of October. There was another recording for Polish however this was never broadcasted. In the 2nd one Alizée is upset by the interviewer and Oliver finishes the interview.
2001-10-20She sings "Moi...Lolita" on the German "Top of the Pops" on RTL, to be broadcasted on the 27th and 29th of October 2001. In this performance instead of wearing the normal clothes she wears cattle tenders and a shirt. Attention: There are 3 different performances of "Moi...Lolita". This one on the 20th, 27th and 29th of October. All three are different ones video's. On "Prima Donna" on channel France2 a performance by Alizée singing "Gourmandises" is shown. Sophie Davant and Patrick Sebastian present the show. She appears dressed in her usual Miam-Miam dress and Sebastian thanks Alizée with "Bravo Alizée tu as trés gentile" (Cheers Alizée you are very nice).

The presenter announces Alizée with "Savez-vous comment s'écrit Lolita ?" "Hello Helli T'es A" "Voici Alizée!" (Do you know how you write Alizée? L.O.L.I.T.A. Here is Alizée). Here she sings "Moi...Lolita" in ordinary clothes. In addition they ask her what song she would like to sing and she responds with "Foule Sentimentale" by Alain Souchon.
2001-10-27Alizée sings "Moi...Lolita" on "Top of the Pops" on channel RTL. Attention this is the second of the 3 performances mentioned above in the entry for the 20th October. On this day it is also shown on BNN for Holland and possibly England (Although I doubt this was shown in England following recent discussions on AF: AlphaDevil2 28/01/07). Nevertheless the Dutch BNN performance is the same performance as the performance on RTL on 27th October, despite some websites claiming that it is not.

This Christmas there is also a miniclip of her wishing a Merry Christmas. The clip is about a second long with her concisely say "Joyeux Noël".

2002-01-19The NRJ Music awards 2002 in Cannes. The ceremony is hosted by Anthony Kavanagh. Alizée nominated for "Artiste Féminine Francophone" but Mylene Farmer wins the award. At one stage in the festival she gives one of the prizes with Marc Lavoine. For the media build up she appears with a black T-shirt with the words "J'adore Dior". 2002-02-02She performs on "The Saturday show" on BBC 1 here she appears dressed in jeans and a brown printed T-shirt, exactly the same as her performance in Germany on October 29th 2001. Sings 'Moi...Lolita'

2002-02-11"Moi...Lolita" goes on sale in England. The video for the single however was censored, and considered too provocative. It could only be broadcasted after 21:00 hours. Even then the scene where the young man asking for 200 francs was cut (according to journalizée no. 20). Homer does not know if the programme "The Passengers" is true as according to the English forum the only shows she performed on was the "The Saturday show", "Top of the Pops" (on the 6th of February 2002) and "Popworld" (on the 3rd of February) and do not mention "The Passengers" unlike some websites. (She did not perform on "The Passengers", see my note on 27th January 2002)
2002-02-18"Moi...Lolita" is released in Spain. It reaches the number 1 spot in the singles chart and stays in that position for three weeks. Although the website "Un Brin d'Alizée" says it was released on the 25th February but Homer thinks it was in fact the 18th. She also appears on "Ministars Club" on the RTL channel.
2002-02-22Alizée appears on "Les Enfoirés (Tous dans le meme bâteau)" broadcasted on TF1 and she sang "Aimer", "Ces soirées la", "Ca va pas changer le monde" and "Comme un ouragan" and "Rever".
2002-02-23A programme filmed in Spain's Cubierta De Legannés, where Alizée along with other performers performed in the famous bullring. But Homer does not know whether it took place. A news item on "Fan De", although there is little here worthy of mention it does say how successful Alizée is in England and how she is part of an elite club of French singers to enjoy some success in England.
2002-02-24Alizée first performance in Spain. She sings "Moi...Lolita" on "En Club Disney" at 11:00 hours on the Spanish network Tele 5.

The M6 chain are celebrate their 15th birthday and because of this broadcast "Le Plus Grand Zaping" in which there is a news article on Laurent Boyer (presenter of "Graines de Star") and there is a review of artists that were on "Graines de Star" and are now famous. Due to this Alizée is given a mention.
2002-03-09Today there was interview with Alizée on "exclusif" broadcasted on RTL. It is also claimed that "Moi...Lolita" reached number in the charts in Spain, but this is not safe and will have to be checked.
2002-03-10Alizée sings "L'Alizé" on "The Dome 21" (to confirm this is the same performance of 2nd March 2001)

In Journalizée issue 28 it states this occurred last Wednesday (the 20th). Although this could be dubious too as it comments on performances that occurred later on.
2002-03-23Appeared on "Bravo Supershow" on RTL at 16.00 hours, she sang "L'Alizé". The official Alizée website stated the performance was 13.00 hours, however this is just when the show started. There are doubts whether this occurred today. However in Journalizée no.28 it shows that the 24th is just a repeat of today's show and Nidalizee also places the performance as today.
2002-03-30Alizée's official website announces a performance by Alizée singing "L'Alizé" on "Top of the Pops" in Germany (RTL2) at 17:45 hours. However this still has to be verified because some say this was the 6th April.
2002-03-31The official Alizée website annoumces a performance on the Dome (Germany) on RTL at 16.00 hours singing "L'Alizé". It could have been an error or even a repeat of previous performance. Journalizée seems to confirm that the Dome performance took place prior to "Bravo superstar" as whilst commenting on "Bravo superstar" it makes a reference to her previous performance on the Dome.

This interview will be reshown on the 12th of April. The video of the interview is one of the most easily recognizable and she is frankly graceful throughout. The interview sees a performance from the marx brothers. At certain times Alizée can not hide her stupefaction and this makes the interview very likely and highly recommended to be seen. Here we also see how she does not get upset from the errors. Instead she is amused as we can see in the legendary ending of the interview where she attempts to get the presenter to correctly pronounce "beaucoup"

2003-06-20The video of "J'ai pas vingt ans" is shown in Spain for the first time on the Programme "Los 40 principales" on canal+. Alizée appeared in the "Festivalbar" in Italy. The spectacle took place on the 20th but it was shown in three parts.. In the first part Alizée performed "J'en ai marre" and was broadcasted on the 24th. The rest of the spectacle will be broadcasted on the 1st and 8th of July, but for some reason there is confusion over the dates. Here there were numerous problems, problems with the sound test and audio (and on several videos there seems to be possibly problems with blackouts and electricity cuts leaving the situation in jeopardy). The reaction of the crowd was nasty and booed her and insulted her. This resulted in Alizée refusing to sign autographs. She also sang "J'en ai marre" which was relayed on Italia1. One Italian fan writes of the disappointment and disgust in not signing autographs (see Homers notes for Italian message).

2003-08-26First Alizée concert: It took place in the mythical Olympia, Paris, in the middle of enormous sense of expectancy and excitement. It was a great success and led to the tour being extended. The tour which was going to last until the 4th of September was now going to last until 17th of January 2004 going around the whole of Paris and finishing in the Zenith concert hall in Paris. The first review of the concert was in "Le Parisian": "L'OLYMPIA attendait Alizée. Hier soir, la premiere vedette n'était pourtant pas la jolie lolita de 19 ans, mais sa marraine Mylene Farmer. La star ne pouvait qu'etre présente pour assister aux premiers pas sur scene de sa petite protégée. Son apparition au balcon a provoqué quelques remous au sein du public, chacun tentant désespérément de l'apercevoir. Il y avait inévitablement des fans scandant "Mylene" hier soir, mais avant tout des spectateurs tres jeunes. Beaucoup d'enfants accompagnés de papa et maman, fébriles de voir enfin en chair et en os Alizée, leur chanteuse préférée. C'est mon idole, expliquait sans tergiverser Thais, 10 ans, venue de Troyes. J'ai des posters d'elle dans ma chambre, je connais ses chansons par coeur et je répete meme les chorégraphies. Valérie, sa maman, acquiesçait: Elle nous en parle tout le temps. Ça ne me gene pas. Certains adultes reprochent a Alizée son côté sexy, moi je pense que ça fait partie du spectacle. Je sais que ma fille ne s'habillera pas comme ça en sortant du concert. C'est vrai qu'Alizée a du affoler quelques grandes personnes hier soir avec sa petite robe blanche ultracourte et ses bottes de majorettes. Assise en haut d'une immense chaussure métallique qui lui sert de décor, la jeune fille est descendue de son piédestal devant un Olympia déja en délire. Puis, entourée de six musiciens et deux choristes, elle a donné vie a son image, mélange d'innocence rafraîchissante et de sensualité soft. Un déhanchement par-ci, un sourire craquant par la, une nuisette rayée en guise de deuxieme tenue de scene. Il y avait meme de gros poissons en ferraille qui tournaient autour d'elle pendant "J'en ai marre" pour rappeler qu'elle a "la peau douce" dans son "bain de mousse". Au bout de quelques chansons, l'affaire était entendue, malgré une voix parfois noyée dans la puissance sonore du groupe. The audience show their support for her by giving an ovation. It was alleged that it was viral influenza that was the cause of her illness. The concert is bittersweet, although not all the concerts were sold out (Homer feels this is due to the elevated number of concerts held in practically one country). It is necessary to honour the public (about 80,000) who did get to see Alizée and the fact that it was an exhausting tour in which time she only realised 2 singles.

The forums go into overdrive, with many fans gutted and announcing their abandonment of Alizée. The news of her marriage seem to not please almost anybody. This was due to two reasons. Firstly because of the chosen man and secondly in the way they did it, in Las Vegas. It appears there is a valid marriage certificate from the Las Vegas ceremony. This does not make it legal in France, since it must be confirmed legally in France and it is not known whether this has happened. Homer prescribes to the souveneir theory with regards to the marriage, believing that they did it as a joke and as a memory of their trip to Las Vegas.

2004-03-15"Voici" publish a rectification of the information given on 9th of February and the rupturing relationship between Alizée and Universal. Universal exercised their right to reply to the allegations by writing a note to the magazine stating that there has never been a meeting to deal with Alizée, to stop her singing and prevent her from evolving artistically.
2004-03-17Rémo Buffin (lead vocalist in Alizé) decides to demand an explanation from Alizée and Universal as the similarity in names give rise to confusion in record stores and when establishing concerts. Alizé registered their name in 1996, 4 years before Alizée appeared on the music scene.
2004-04-09Due to the rumours that have arisen since the new year about discontent between Alizée and Universal and/or Mylene an official denial is published on the official website. Translated it states "For several months the press, have been relating and spreading rumours on Alizée. We want to state that these allegations are purely lies and that they are total deflection of the truth with the sole intention to harm Alizée is very well and there is no problem with the record label, with Mylene Farmer or L. Nothing is more legitimate and is a surprise to nobody. These deceptions have unfortunately been repeateded in supposedly more serious media, therefore reinforcing doubt that fans have about Alizée. These articles also attempted to discredit their relations with the producers. Neither Alizée, Mylene Farmer or Laurent Boutonnat wished to make a denial in the concerned newspapers, which would have only fed the controversy. However we wanted to offer this statement to the fans of Alizée and they do not need to worry about her."

2004-05-17Alizée sings a duet with Natasha St Pair, the song is "L'important c'est d'aimer" originally by Pascal Obispo. The programme this was on was "Pour Laurette... un an apres" on France3 at 20:50 hours. Alizée shows us a new style, a style which is very similar to Jéremy's style. The reaction of the majority is not favourable and this unjustly shadows what was good interpretation of the song by Alizée.
2004-05-22Alizée sings on the TV show "Bon Anniversaire Charles" on channel TF1 singing the song by Charles Aznavour "For me, Formidable" duetting with Jenifer, and she performed it very well. The majority opinion in the forums is that she is dressed superbly and that she sung the song well.
2004-05-27Peculiar appearance by Alizée on the programme "Select" on MTV at 18:00 hours. The singer, Jenifer was being interviewed and responding to questions from viewers by telephone. One such viewer called Anabelle asked Jenifer if she admired Alizée. Jenifer admits she does and that in fact she knew her in person. Anabelle then asked her if she had any faults. Jenifer replied that she did not. It was then that it was known that Anabelle was in fact none other than Alizée playing a joke! A likeable detail.

2006-04-03A hand written letter by Alizée is published on www.nidalizee.com On it she states that she is in the recording studio and will return soon. The date of this letter is the 31st of March.
2006-07-07There is a mini report about Alizée on French network Europe 2TV, on their show "Le JT de la musique". This article is of importance due to it being the first time that Alizée's return as been spoken about on TV.
